Emoji Diary “blog post”

If you’re here, it’s because you followed a link in an app I made years ago. Thank you for using it.

This was only a small project that I made when I was young and new to programming, thinking it was a lot more impressive than it actually was. It helped me to learn about the process of developing for Android, and was perfectly acceptable as a small little utility that not even I used.

Most interesting thing I remember about the app is that it had a completely unnecessary firebase backend, simply because being able to modify the appearence of the app remotely for all users at a whim seemed cool.

Oh yes, I thought it was so impressive that I made it its own Twitter account.
